  I have always had great service and treatment at Histon Dental Surgery. Dr Healy has recently fitted two crowns and I am very satisfied with what he has done.

  The dentists themselves are good - four stars. They're let down by the receptionists who are difficult to deal with, for example you need a filling replaced but they will only book a short appointment, so you end up having to visit twice. And if you need an emergency you'll be lucky to get anything quickly. You can wait a long time in reception to be seen, and there's no wifi for patients. There is a car park, and it's convenient to get to if you live/work on the north side of Cambridge.

  Great at wasting your time. First made an appointment several months ago; spent five minutes in the chair for a check-up, but didn't clean teeth. You need to make a separate appointment for that. Made an appointment to see the hygienist (took about 6 months to get that appointment) and came back. As soon as she got me in the chair she told me the appointment was only 20 minutes long so I'd need a second appointment (was in the chair about ten minutes). Third appointment booked three months from now. Opening hours meant I need to take an afternoon off work for each time. A single 30-40 minute appointment could have served in place of all three.

  Appalling and dangerous. Should be shut down. I would like to start by saying, this is not a complaint, rather a warning to try to prevent anyone else ending up in my wifes very dangerous situation. I myself also have had problems with the reception staff being incredibly rude to me because i was late because i was stuck behind a crash in which someone actually lost their life. My wife is a type 1 diabetic and had gone for her appointment and found the dentist to be more than adequate however upon returning to reception she fell into a hypo and started to treat it however soon realised she needed to raise her sugars more so had to leave as none of the staff were helping. She came back after drinking some sugary drinks only to find her sugars started dropping rapidly again. She then asked the receptionist for help as she knew she was now in a dangerously serious low. The receptionist wandered off for a bit and then came back and asked if she had breakfast. My wife told the receptionist that it was gone 1 o'clock and was irrelevant. The receptionist then told her she was inconsiderate not to of had breakfast because my wife is diabetic and then just walked off without any help at all. My wife then literally had to crawl out of the dentist to get help as she knew by this point she would be in a comber in minutes. Thank god she is now recovering but please heed my warning. If you value your health then do not visit this surgery and if you don't like people speaking to you extremely rudely then avoid their receptionists at all costs. You only have to look on the google review of this place to see over half the people reviewing had similar problems with their reception.
